Abstract

Exploring the optimization of public performance, this article focuses on the application of quality auditing in Moroccan regional councils, notably in the Oriental, Darâa-Tafilalet, and Béni Mellal-Khénifra regions. Emphasizing the integration of quality auditing into organizational processes as a catalyst for performance improvement.

We used a qualitative approach, based on qualitative interviews with the three regional auditors from the selected councils. The results confirm that the integration of quality auditing significantly improves the performance of regional councils, and the awareness of public actors is crucial to its success, reinforcing the practical validity of the theoretical concepts. Despite obstacles, this research suggests avenues for future study, establishing quality auditing as a strategic tool towards organizational excellence in the public sector.
