This article entitled "Socio-economic impact of the exploitation of fishery resources on the life of communities in the fishing industry in Hébé, a lagoon village in the Sub-prefecture of Bonoua (Côte d'Ivoire)", is based on the observation, documentary research and field surveys. It aims to analyze the socio-economic effects of the exploitation of fishery resources on the lives of populations mobilized by the fishing industry in the lagoon village of Hébé. This reflection, both qualitative and quantitative, is part of an exhaustive study which made it possible to investigate 98 actors including 47 fishermen, 1 wholesaler, 45 processors-sellers of fish products and 5 sellers of smoking tools. This shows a diversity of species landed for a fishing hinterland composed of three localities. Also, selling prices vary according to various factors such as: the type of species, the state of the product (smoked or fresh) and the method of sale (retail or wholesale). In addition, more than 75% of production is sold fresh. Finally, the exploitation of halieutic resources in Hébé is at the origin of a multitude of direct and indirect activities, mobilizing a plurality of actors. These have incomes generally lower than the Ivorian SMIG. Despite this, the actors use their income to meet individual and family needs and invest in housing and agriculture to improve their living conditions.
