Abstract

Sport is very popular in Morocco, but its development is hampered by several challenges, including the lack of funding and adequate infrastructure, as well as the weakness of the national sports policy. To guarantee the rights of athletes and spectators, a comprehensive legal framework is essential. Morocco already has comprehensive sports legislation, but some problems persist, including corruption and doping. To meet these challenges, recent initiatives have been put in place, such as Law No. 30-09 relating to physical education and sport, the creation of a court of arbitration for sport and an ethical charter for sports federations. However, the future of the legal framework for sport in Morocco will depend on the political priorities of the government and the actions taken by the various stakeholders in the world of sport to advance the necessary reforms. A research methodology to analyze sport regulation in Morocco involves defining the research question, collecting data, analyzing the data, evaluating the results and proposing recommendations to improve sport régulation in Morocco.
