RESUME
Le commerce traditionnel occupe une place importante au niveau de l’économie marocaine, il s’agit d’un secteur en forte croissance au niveau de la création de la richesse et les offres d’emploi. Le soutien de l’Etat était énorme, à travers un programme de développement du commerce et de la distribution nommé RAWAJ. Lancé en 2008, les résultats de ce programme demeurent inaperçus. Face à la concurrence de la distribution moderne, le commerce traditionnel résiste encore, il se trouve en situation de trouver lui-même, un chemin vers la croissance et la modernisation à partir de ses propres moyens.
L’assortiment du commerçant traditionnel constitue un facteur important pour attirer la clientèle et rendre le point de ventre rentable, quand un point de vente traditionnel sera rentable, il trouve ainsi les moyens de passer d’un commerce de proximité traditionnel à un commerce de proximité moderne.
L’objectif de cet article est de répondre à une question fondamentale : Est-ce qu’un assortiment large et profond attire les clients et contribue ainsi à la rentabilité d’un point de vente ?
La méthodologie sur cet axe de recherche consiste donc à la réalisation d’une enquête sur le terrain à travers un échantillon type pour vérifier l’hypothèse de la relation entre l’assortiment le choix du point de vente.
Il convient de rappeler que cet article est juste un axe d’une recherche sur le commerce traditionnel au Maroc entre impératifs de modernisation et dysfonctionnement structurels.

Abstract
The traditional trade occupies an important place in the Moroccan economy; it is a sector in strong growth at the level of the creation of wealth and employment opportunities. The support of the State was enormous, through a program of development of trade and distribution named RAWAJ. Launched in 2008, the results of this program remain unnoticed. Faced with the competition of modern distribution, traditional trade still resists, it is in a situation to find itself, a path to growth and modernization from its own means.
The assortment of the traditional retailer is an important factor in attracting customers and making the outlet profitable, when a traditional outlet is profitable, it finds the means to move from a traditional to a modern convenience store.
The objective of this article is to answer a fundamental question: Does a wide and deep assortment attract customers and thus contribute to the profitability of a sales outlet?
The methodology on this axis of research thus consists in the realization of a survey on the ground through a standard sample to check the hypothesis of the relation between the assortment and the choice of the selling point.
It should be recalled that this article is just one axis of a research on traditional trade in Morocco between imperatives of modernization and structural dysfunction.
